Resistance film inspired by historical facts about a German refugee Jew who owns the Amsterdam ice cream parlor Koco at the start of the Second World War.

The film focuses on 3 characters; Otto Schneeweiss, owner of an ice cream parlor, his former German friend, the ‘good’ officer Gustav and Otto’s girlfriend Trudy, who falls in love with the officer. The grim policy of the occupier becomes clear as a result of riots around the ice cream parlor (the first Jewish transports are the result, which in turn lead to the February strike). The arrested Otto may be able to save his life by betraying his friends, but he won’t. Gustav could save him, but turns out to be too cowardly for it, while Trudy tries and breaks off her relationship with the officer.
